Acne / Scarring
The Regenlite acne treatment focuses on three steps:
- Initially the laser light kills the acne bacteria, which causes the infection and lesions. The whole face is treated killing bacteria over a wide area and reducing the risk of infection spreading and further break-outs.
- Stimulation of the body’s natural wound healing response and dermal collagen production, which accelerates the resolution of the spots and lesions and reduces the appearance of any scars.
- The laser stimulates release of TGFβ. This is a cytokine, which is uniquely important in the process of regulating inflammation. It is also intimately involved in the development of immune tolerance. This molecule reduces the inflammation of the acne spots and then prevents the formation of new ones.

How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments with Regenlite will depend on your individual condition. This will be discussed during consultation, including possible combination treatments that could enhance your results. A typical course will involve a minimum of 3 laser treatment sessions. We schedule one treatment every 2-4 weeks. After a package or series you would then be placed on a maintenance schedule.

How does it work?
